ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE ANTIQUE ESTATE ART DECO, c1940, GORGEOUS GENUINE CULTURED AKOYA PEARLS GRADUATED STRAND NECKLACE WITH SIGNED FUJI OF GINZA TOKYO FILIGREE CLASP. The necklace is composed of 118 Genuine Cultured Akoya Ocean Pearls, sold thorugh the famous Fuji Pearl Company of Ginza Tokya Japan, circa 1940, a contemporary of the MIKIMOTO Pearl company...noted as some of the finest Pearls in the world. They are genuine salt water Akoya Ocean Pearls from a wonderful estate collection. The Pearls are very fine quality with gorgeous matched color and a luminous glow that reflects bits of pink in the light. It is quite a process to find as many beautfully matched, beautifully round graduated Pearls as seen here in this piece. They are graduated from approximately 3 to 6mm. The strand measures approximately 16 inches in length from clasp to pearl end, a stunning, elegant length for today’s wardrobe. They are finished of with a lovely ART DECO clasp composed of solid high grade Silver, with beautiful ornate Filigree pattern and a matched Pearl upon its ceneter. The clasp is marked with the Fuji Pearl company signature mark. They date circa 1940 and in lovely estate condition.
